Why Should I Get Veneers?
Veneers are a popular cosmetic dental treatment that can dramatically improve the appearance of your smile. They are thin, custom-made shells crafted from tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front side of your teeth. Drs. Enas Nimri and Dealla Saab at Artistic Dentistry in Houston, TX, are experienced in creating beautiful, natural-looking veneers that blend seamlessly with your existing teeth. Whether you have chipped, stained, or misaligned teeth, veneers can provide a solution, giving you a smile you'll be proud to show off.

Did you know…
You don’t need veneers for every tooth. Depending on your needs, you can get just one or an entire set.

Request An Appointment
The process of getting veneers typically involves three trips to Artistic Dentistry. During the first visit, you'll consult with Dr. Nimri or Dr. Saab to discuss your goals and determine if veneers are the right choice for you. The second visit involves preparing your teeth for the veneers. This may include removing a small amount of enamel from the surface of your teeth to make room for the veneer. An impression of your teeth is then taken and sent to a dental lab where your veneers will be custom-made. On your final visit, the veneers are checked for fit and color before being permanently bonded to your teeth, resulting in a stunning, natural-looking smile.

With proper care, veneers can last between 10 to 15 years, sometimes even longer. The lifespan of your veneers depends greatly on your oral hygiene habits, diet, and lifestyle. Regular check-ups with your dentist and good oral hygiene practices can help prolong the longevity of your veneers.
Caring for veneers is similar to caring for your natural teeth. Regular brushing and flossing, along with regular dental check-ups, are essential. Avoid chewing on hard objects or using your teeth to open packages as this can damage the veneers. Although veneers are resistant to staining, it's still advisable to limit consumption of stain-causing foods and drinks.
The coverage for veneers varies greatly depending on your dental insurance plan. In general, if veneers are considered a cosmetic procedure and not medically necessary, they may not be covered. However, some insurance plans may partially cover the cost if the veneers are deemed necessary for structural reasons. It's best to check with your insurance provider for the specifics of your coverage.
